| Miss Rodeo Plainville 2011 - Emily Braun Miss Rodeo Plainville 2011, Emily Braun believes that every morning you get up, you should strive to be the best you can be and that is how she lives. Emily’s love of horses drove her toward a successful showing career. She actively participates in the Kansas Youth Leadership Academy, Pheasant Run Hunting Club, Mid-America Youth Basketball and is a 10-year member of the Bits-n-Spurs 4-H Club. A junior in high school Emily serves as the FFA Chapter Secretary, is a member of the livestock and meat judging teams and plays the post position on the basketball team. When she isn’t running the court or riding horses you’ll find her working with animals at Hays Veterinary Hospital. Emily is an advocate for the youth of rodeo. She enjoys giving back to others by schooling girls in rodeo pageantry. She shares with her protégés that discipline and confidence in your abilities is key to achieving your goals. Emily reminds us all to do what you can, with what you have, where you are. Emily makes her home in Munjor, Kansas and is the daughter of Cindy and Mike Braun. You’ll often find her on the trail riding with her mom on her ten-year-old Overo Paint mare, Lucy. |
