| A local favorite for contestants and spectators alike. The return of the Kansas Junior Rodeo Association (KJRA) to The Plainville Saddle Club Arena on highway K-18. Typically 60-80 contestants compete, from age one to 18 years.
The action begins 9am each day with the youngest competitors. Cowboys and cowgirls, age one to nine years old, compete in the events of barrel racing, pole bending, goat tail tying, dummy roping, sheep or calf riding, goat tying and breakaway roping. The rough stock event of steer riding is also held in the morning.
The older kids’ (age 10–18) events begins around noon with pole bending, followed by barrel racing, goat tying and the roping events.
Tickets are $5 for adults, $3 for kids over 12 years of age, children under 12 FREE! Concessions on-site. Public is invited to attend! |
