Jr. Miss Rodeo Plainville, Mikaela Faith Brackney, loves the excitement rodeo brings and looks forward to it all year long. Admiring the positive image of the queens and princesses of the arena, Mikaela made it her goal to become one of rodeo’s royals so she could be a role model for other young girls who love rodeo as much as she does. Mikaela shares this verse with you, which she kept close in hand as she wished for a horse, “Delight yourself in the Lord and he will give you the desires of your heart.” Mikaela encourages all youth to follow their dreams as she did. Mikaela is the 11-year-old daughter of Mark and Leigh Ann Brackney of Hays. In Mikaela’s quest for the Jr. Miss Rodeo Plainville crown, Beond Salon & Day Spa, Sew Easy Bernina, John Pyle Insurance Agency, Auto World and Brackney Construction & Supply sponsored her. Other than rodeo, Mikaela’s favorite sport is volleyball. She is an active member of Liberty Fellowship, helping with the children’s church. She participates in 4-H and belongs to a knitting club as well. Mikaela’s future goals are to attend Kansas State University and study to be a vet or teacher. She also hopes to have a ranch of her own someday. |
