Miss Rodeo Plainville Pageant

(Tentative pageant schedule below.)

THURSDAY JUNE 12

6:30pm Orientation
Meet at Knights of Columbus Hall, 204 N. Irving hang sponsor posters, receive final pageant itinerary, discuss questions, turn in modeling descriptions, practice modeling run. Receive contestant banners to take home and trim down to size.

7:30pm Pizza Party - Pizza Hut (not mandatory)
Casual pizza dinner to relax and get to know each other. For contestants coming a long way they need not stay if they would rather head home early.

FRIDAY JUNE 13

8am Horsemanship Competition
PSC arena, commencing at 8am – that means all horses need to be warmed up and ready at that time. Contestants draw for order. Queen’s ride first. Draw for second mount and retire from the arena. Princesses ride.  Once all princess contestants have completed their ride, they are allowed to retire to the hotel or with their chaperones to get ready for the luncheon style show. Queen’s ride second mount. Queen’s are excused to prepare for luncheon style show once all queen’s have ridden.

11:45am Luncheon Style Show
Knights of Columbus Hall, 204 N. Irving, luncheon begins at noon. Contestants will model one outfit, perform their speech (or talent) and then answer an extemporaneous question. (See attached program for details.) Following the Luncheon and Style show contestants will remain with the committee at the Knights of Columbus Hall for their Personal Interviews with the judges. This is closed to the public (no coaches or parents allowed).

1:30pm Interviews
Knights of Columbus Hall New this year – timed interviews! Minutes to be determined by the number of contestants and the time available to complete the interviews. Contestants are excused following the completion of all contestants interviews within their age category.

6:30pm Dinner at arena
Help with Mutton Bustin sign up. Queen contestants clear arena during Mutton bustin. Princesses help kids get signed up and mounted.

8:00pm Grand Entry
Help with concessions. Sell raffle tickets. After rodeo, short meeting to discuss Saturday events. Excused after rodeo.

SATURDAY JUNE 14

9am Paradise Creek Festival Games
Contestants will assist the kids games downtown.

12pm Lunch (TBA)

2pm Coronation Practice
Arena – practice coronation ceremony, ride over for parade line-up

3pm Parade downtown Plainville

5pm Free BBQ
Dinner in the park, sell raffle tickets.

6:30pm Mutton Bustin

8:00pm Grand Entry

TBA Coronation & Prize distribution



Miss Rodeo Plainville is crowned every year during the CPRA rodeo held the first weekend of June.

The pageant is open to young women age 10-23 years who are a Kansas resident.

We encourage you to strive for success in everything you do and to let the Miss Rodeo Plainville Pageant be a part of your success.
